City of Ramsey <br />SUBJECT <br />City of Ramsey Policy on Ramsey Town Center Streetscape Construction Encroachment <br />BACKGROUND <br />The City of Ramsey has constructed sidewalks, landscape plantings and erected street lights adjacent to <br />Sunwood Drive in Ramsey Town Center (hereafter referred to as "Streetscape "). The Ramsey Town <br />Center (RTC) project was designed as a pedestrian friendly project, construction of the Streetscape <br />improved the pedestrian access. The RTC guidelines also require building fronts to be within 0 -15 feet of <br />the right- of-way line. This will be in close proximity to the in place Streetscape Improvements. <br />POLICY .STATEMENT <br />The Streetscape must be protected from construction damage; therefore the City has established the <br />following policy: <br />• The developer of any project adjacent to the Streetscape shall use all means appropriate to <br />preserve and protect the Streetscape. <br />• The condition of the Streetscape shall be documented by the Developer and City prior to <br />commencement of any construction activity. <br />• The Streetscape improvements shall be protected with construction fence or other barriers during <br />construction. <br />• The condition of the Streetscape shall be documented after construction prior to the release of any <br />Developer sureties, <br />• These conditions shall be incorporated into all development agreements for projects adjacent to <br />the Sunwood Drive Streetscape Improvements, <br />Signed Date <br />Adopted July 8, 2008 <br />
