Staff Recommendation: <br />Gerald Bauer, Jr., owner of the Trappers Ridge lot, is agreeable to performing a portion of the <br />required improvements on 160 to comply with the mediation agreement. Staff recommends that <br />the following work be performed by the Public Works Department: <br />a) The right of way of cleared of trees 18 feet on each side of the centerline. <br />b) Stumps be grubbed and the roadway graded to a width of 36 feet. <br />c) Sign both sides of the roadway for No Parking. <br />Staff also requests that Council provide direction relative to the maintenance responsibilities of this <br />right of way in light of the City Attorney's opinion. <br />Financial Impact: <br />The financial impact of this work is estimated to be $3,774.00 with a detailed breakdown as <br />follows: <br />a) Tree removal will be done by our correctional workers $400.00 <br />b) Stump Removal and Skidsteer use (8 hours) $800.00 <br />c) Motor Grader and Operator (8 hours) $930,00 <br />d) Brush Chipper and Truck (4 hours) $444.00 <br />e) Six :No Parking Signs" installed @ $200,00/sign $1,200.00 <br />e) <br />Council Action: <br />Motion that Staff be directed to perform the following on the unconstructed portion of 160 Lane: <br />a) Clear the right of way of trees 18 feet of each side of centerline. <br />b) Grub stumps and grade the roadway for a width of 36 feet. <br />c) Sign both sides of the roadway for No Parking. <br />Reviewed By: <br />City Engineer <br />City Attorney <br />Public Works Director/P <br />City Administrator <br />CC: 07/08/08 <br />cipal City Engineer <br />2 <br />
