<br />Motion by Councilmember Look, seconded by Councilmember Elvig, to adopt Resolution #08- <br />06-114 adopting Findings of Fact #0827 relating to the applicant's request for a conditional use <br />permit to exceed the amount of accessory structure space allowed on the subject property. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember Look stated that he is happy to see that the Borell's want to <br />park things inside a building. Community Development Director Miller stated that one of the <br />reasons for the size regulations is so properties are not over-built with too many structures. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Look, Elvig, Dehen, Jeffrey, <br />Olson, and Strommen. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Look, to adopt Resolution #08- <br />06-115 approving the applicant's request for a conditional use permit to exceed the amount of <br />accessory structure space allowed on the property, declaring terms of same. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Elvig, Look, Dehen, Jeffrey, <br />Olson, and Strommen. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #5: <br /> <br />Request for Final Plat and Final Site Plan Review of Gables Terrace; Case of <br />n.R. Horton, Inc. <br /> <br />This case was pulled from the agenda. <br /> <br />Case #6: <br /> <br />Consider Rent Increases for Properties Located at 6701 and 6745 Highway <br />10 <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig left the meeting at 7:37 p.m. <br /> <br />Economic Development Coordinator Sullivan stated that he had passed out a letter from Mr. <br />Sharp, the tenant, just prior to the meeting. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich suggested that the Council take time to read the letter before discussion <br />begins. <br /> <br />Economic Development Coordinator Sullivan stated that the City has been in the process of <br />purchasing property along Highway 10 using RALF funds, including 6701 and 6745 Highway <br />10. He stated that Mr. Sharp has been using the rear of these businesses for a boat and R.V. <br />storage business and the City entered into a lease agreement with Mr. Sharp. He stated that the <br />original lease terms did not include payment of property taxes and staff is recommending that the <br />rent be increased to cover the annual property taxes for this property, which would be consistent <br />with other properties along Highway 10. He stated that this increase is simply intended to cover <br />the City's costs in paying property taxes. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that he remembers discussing this last year and thinks the City made a <br />mistake a year ago in not charging enough rent to cover its expenses.
