<br />Commissioner Barr advised that she had noticed two broken poles in the nearby area in Central <br />Park. <br /> <br />Parks Supervisor Riverblood advised that there are currently about four or five broken poles in <br />the park. He advised that they had pulled the cable out from the poles last year and would <br />eventually pull the posts out in a gradual progression. <br /> <br />Chairperson Johns thought that when the revamp of Central Park occurs there would probably be <br />a curb installed. <br /> <br />Parks Supervisor Riverblood advised that Commissioner Backous had sent him an email and <br />brought up parking issues at a park in the City. He advised that the striping would be done <br />before the end of the next week at that park. He advised that they are going to push the parking <br />spots closer to the driveway and also add more parking spots closer to the playground area. <br /> <br />Commissioner Shryock questioned if the parking lot is harder to paint because of the flooding <br />that occurs. <br /> <br />Parks Supervisor Riverblood advised that it is not harder to paint that area and explained that it <br />had only been sealed the year before. <br /> <br />Chairperson Johns questioned if Parks Supervisor Riverblood had seen the other portion of <br />Commissioner Backous' email that spoke about possibly having the wrong address posted at a <br />park. <br /> <br />Parks Supervisor Riverblood advised that they do have the correct address displayed. <br /> <br />Commissioner Erickson questioned who would be in charge of the street signs in the City. She <br />advised that a street sign in her area was turned around and visitors to her home were having <br />problems finding her home. ' <br /> <br />Parks Supervisor Riverblood advised that the Street Supervisor handles that responsibility and <br />stated that he would advise him of that sign. <br /> <br />Commissioner Shryock advised that she had. concerns on the trail system along Highway 47 <br />north of Alpine. She explained that there is a lack of curb cuts for bicycle riders. <br /> <br />Parks Supervisor Riverblood advised that there are some curb cuts that are still scheduled to <br />occur and some that simply cannot be there. <br /> <br />Commissioner Shryock advised that on the south side of Alpine Drive near the meadow <br />development there is about an inch of dirt along the trail that has washed down from the houses <br />being built. <br /> <br />Parks Supervisor Riverblood advised that they were actually on site at today looking at that. <br /> <br />Park and Recreation Commission/June 12, 2008 <br />Page 10 of 11 <br />
