CONSENT CASE # ' a <br />AUTHORIZE PAYMENT TO RES SPECIALTY PYROTECHNICS FOR. <br />PYROTECHNIC SERVICES FOR 2008 HAPPY DAYS <br />By: Tim Gledhill, Associate Planner <br />Background: <br />The Happy Days Committee has recommended that the 2008 Happy Days Festival once again <br />include a fireworks display. This year will mark the 10th Annual.Happy Days Festival. Feedback <br />from the "BOB FM Sky Concert" was overwhelmingly positive, and the Happy Days Committee <br />would like to continue that tradition. <br />Staff recently met with representatives from RES Pyrotechnics and BOB FM to begin to produce <br />the fireworks display. The Happy Days Committee is recommending an earlier start time on 9 <br />p.m. in response to feedback offered by attendees last year. <br />The contract with RES Pyrotechnics is for $7,000, as recommended by the Happy Days <br />Committee. <br />Funding Source: <br />Happy Days sponsorship donations. <br />Recommendation: <br />-Staff recommends approval of Resolution #08-08-_ Authorizing payment to RES Pyrotechnics <br />for Pyrotechnics display at 10th Annual Happy Days 2008. <br />Council Action: <br />Motion to approve Resolution #08-08-_ authorizing payment to RES Pyrotechnics for <br />pyrotechnics display at the 2008 Happy Days. <br />Review Checklist: f <br />Ci Administrator ~~--i' <br />tY <br />CC: 8/12/08 <br />-105- <br />
