Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its <br />adoption: <br />Resolution #08-08-_ <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT TO-THE KILLER HAYSEEDS <br />FOR ENTERTAINMENT SERVICES RELATED TO HAPPY DAYS <br />WHEREAS, the Happy Days Committee has recommended that the Happy Days <br />festival enter into a contract with Music Works for the entertainment services of the <br />Killer Hayseeds; and, <br />WHEREAS, total payment as stated in the contract is $3,500; and, <br />WHEREAS, a down payment of $600 was paid prior to September 19th, 2007 to <br />reserve the date; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Happy Days Committee is requesting financial assistance from <br />the City Council. to make this down payment; and, <br />WHEREAS, the remaining contract amount in the amount of $2,900 shall be paid <br />to the Killer Hayseeds. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />That the City Council of the City of Ramsey authorizes payment of payment to the Killer <br />Hayseeds for the entertainment services of the Killer Hayseeds for the 2008 Happy Days <br />festival. <br />The motion. for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember ,and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in <br />favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and- the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this the-12th day of August 2008. <br />-108- <br />
