SIMILAR TO: <br />• Ramsey should rep serve and protect the unique natural resources it has. <br />• Preservation of natural resources should be a priority as the city works toward responsible <br />development <br />• Our environmental resources are preserved and enhanced by an ongoing process that involves all <br />the stakeholders. <br />• Ramsey will be a leader in the preservation.of the natural resources within the city and its <br />surrounding communities. <br />• Maintain and rep serve green space and environment is critical to the growth of Ramsey. <br />Property Rights <br />• Restrictions of property rights shall be compensated. <br />Stratebies/Process How do we carry out pe=inciples?) <br />Policy <br />• Environmental policy must be made through sound peer-reviewed science. <br />Public access to the variety of natural resources should be established whenever new <br />development is considered and maintained where it already exists. <br />• Ramsey. should require all developments to preserve at least 20% for open space. <br />• Develop existing parks and areas for greater community use. <br />• Environmental efforts should be methodical and deliberate. Don't rush to solve the latest <br />problems overnight. Always seek win-win and respect the need for both environmental <br />sustainability and emotional sustainability. <br />Compensation <br />• Just compensation to preserve wetlands.
