He also acknowledged
City staff members: Kurt Ulrich, Amber Miller, Tim Gladhill and Sylvia Frolik; and past staff
members Pat Trudgeon and Breanne DaInes. He also extended his appreciation to residents of
Ramsey who were involved and provided input.

Commissioner Van Scoy asked if an action is being requested or is the presentation informational
only.

Mr. McDilda stated he would like the Planning Commission to make a recommendation that this
information be part of the discussion for the August 12, 2008, City Council/Planning
Commission Joint W orksession.

Chairperson Nixt asked how Ramsey and staff have received the results of the Ramsei process
so far. That will be the basis for the Comprehensive Plan. She
stated the Planning Commission and City Council will be presented with three alternative land
use scenarios on which to base the Comprehensive Plan. It will be up to the Planning
Commission and City Council to determine which scenario to select.

Chairperson Nixt stated in light of materials distributed yesterday to address the discussion items
fot the August 12, 2008 Joint Worksession, he would ask what, if any portion, of the Ramsei
work has been reflected in the land use plans specifically and incorporated or rejected.

Assistant Community Development Director Frolik stated they have addressed neighborhood
centers and walkability, but first need to come up with land use scenarios the Council and
residents want to move forward. Then the other issues will come together.

Chairperson Nixt asked if the Ramsey3. process is directed to give optimal guidance on the land
use plan.

Assistant Community Development Director Frolik stated that is correct, through the values and
checklist statements.

Chairperson Nixt asked if the City's consultant used the Ramsei information in developing the
City's Comp Plan.
