Become knowledgeable about requirements far leak detection and record keeping; attend <br />an MPCA. training course. <br />10. Far above-ground storage tanks without secondary containment, arrange for. a contractor <br />to install containment structures at tanks in the WHP area during a specified time period. <br />11. For all above-ground storage tanks, monitor secondary containment structures far cracks <br />and early detection of leaks and notify the tank owner of any cracks or leaks~to ensure <br />'that proper repair and cleanup occurs. _ <br />12. For unregulated underground tanks, establish agreements with tank owners for access to <br />their property, take on the task of monitoring for leaks, and work with the tank owners to <br />ensure that proper repair and cleanup occurs. <br />1,3. Survey tank owners in WHP areas to determine information needs, <br />14. Identify new tanks installed in the WkIP area and ensure that tanks not regulated by <br />MICA or MDA are installed to protect groundwater, <br />1S. Require secondary containment for above-ground tanks that are not addressed by State <br />regulations. <br />4. Require upgrades of existing unregulated tanks to include corrosion protection, leak <br />detection, and spilUoverfill prevention. <br />S.
