9 July 2008

I know the neighbors don't care for me. The Burgin's (living West of me) and I
have had words about their dogs. I called the police about their dogs running at large
after asking them to keep the dogs at home. I was laughed at, so I notified the police.
The police responded. Mr. Burgin told me that the police officer told him that I was a
complainer about dogs and that there is one in every neighborhood. Later:Mr. Burgin
told me aggressively; 'Don't you ever call the cops again. If you don't want the dogs on'
your property, you tell me.' I told him I would call them again ifI had to. I'm happy to
say that their dogs have been much better. .

We're not young and I'm sure they would rather have young people instead of old
people living in their neighborhood; but remember that we all get old and they won't be
,wanted around anymore either. We keep to ourselves; we don't bother any of them. , We
keep up OUf yard, flowers, and trees. Ifwe were to move, someone else may do just the
opposite. "

,J' :

We are doing daycare for our nine-month old grandson, and he is at the walking
stage: He .enjoys riding in the stroller which is ideal because our streets ends in a cul-de-
sac. We, and especially his parents, don't want any'dog attacking him, barking, aUdioI:'
biting anywhere (on the street or elsewhere), If these dogs are not under control- at all
times and with the' aggressive nature, there could be permanent Qodily injury re~ulting in
lawsuits. Hollering at the dogs to come back is useless because once the dogs are in
pursuit, they ~enerally do not respond to verbal commands.
