9 July 2008

. may happento be at the time. They pursue us barking aggressively and will not go back
if we command them to go back home. The Randall's then come running out of their
house or from behind their house and across the street to our house to get them. This
situation has happened many times. Carole has had the two dachshunq.s barking.
feroCiously at her heels whil~ walking up the drivew!1y after getting the mail. She finally
turned around and stomped her foot. They fell back a few seconds but took up their
pursuit when she started to walk forward again. Then during the past week or so, she was
walking along the front of the garage (way up the driveway) and the dogs were barking.
She didn't pay any attention until she heard someone hollering at the dogs and the -
thunderous footsteps of :Mr. Randall running up the driveway to capture the dogs
(dachshunds). This past weekend while I was walking fu my yard across from the
Randall's driveway, the two dachshunds came aggressively ruDning and barking towards
. me, but:Mr. Randall happened to be there. The dogs did not leave the driveway;
although, their barking'lingered on. I made a remark to:MI. Randall about calling the
police again on the barking. He replied that it was okay as long as the dogs stayed on
.their driv~way. I feel the continuous aggressive barking in this manner is nuisance
barking. Dogs typically bark when excited, but to bark aggressively and to chase after
other people. in. the neighborhood or passersby (either walking or biking) is a nuisance
.. arid possibly a hazard to human beings. For an example, there was a mother and two
children on bicycles. riding down the street, and the dachshunds chased and barked at
them aggressively. To my knowledge, they have not been back again.

. I have asked the Randall's multiple times to consider tying up the dogs, but all I get
.in response is an, "I'm sorry" over and over again and a smile. This does not correct the
problem; the nuisance barking goes on. After numerous times of requesting the Randall's
to keep.their dogs tied up, I have called the police and made complaints. The officer
witnessed the barking and said it was bad. . The barking was coming from the upstairs
window which was left open and accessible to the dogs to look out. I told the officer that
it was a nuisance because every time we were outside in front of our garage or inthe
garage, they would bark continuously. The officer sind he would notify them about this.

It seems to me that the Randall's feel that they and the dogs have more rights than I
do. . I was under the impression that everyone was created equal and have equal rights. If
the law or code exists, then everyone should follow the law or code. Some people feel
the law or code doesn't mean them or if the city or police don't find out, that's okay.

I have listened to the larger dog bark since they moved in. They let the dog out and
it just barks at random at nothing at all. I have not said anything-just put up with it.
But these other dogs are a real nuisance. I don't think the Randall's are responsible
enough or in the right location for five dogs-plus they have two cats. I have 5 dogs
across the street, 3 dogs on my left, 2 or 3 dogs on my right, and 5 more dogs on the
block. We had a dog when we moved here in 1992-a miniature poodle. I took the-dog
out to do its duty morning and night on a leash-way out in the backyard. When our dog
was in the yard, we were out there with the dog at all times.
