Several
Properties are located relatively close to the existing street and the proposed location
would decrease the separation,
The '8 foot width is four feet less than is. required for new residential roadways to
encourage paving of dirt roadways. Under certain conditions such as encroaching snow
banks and parked vehicles narrow roadways can present access diculties for larger
ernergancy vehicles. Tlais is particularly problematic for streets having only a single
access such as Ute Street, Should a reduction in street width tae considered comments
from public safety of,icial ,should be solicited and specif c criterion should be establisherl
-Ya that a reduced streot width does not become a new standard,
• Concerns were raised relative to the proposed location of the storm sower outfall to
Rogers Lake being at a high poixit on the roadway and of drainage concerns for the
property located at 4947 179th Lane,
Staff will investigate an alternate location for the outfall to Rogers Lake and will also
evtend storm water inlets into both of the corner properti@s at 179'h Lane to provide
better drainage fpr these two lots.
Financial Impact:
The funding for these projects is anticipated as follows:
Total Assessable city storm water.
Project Project coot coat coat utility cost
o8.31 chemoleon Street $ 325,306 S 150,987 $ 150,957 23,398
oa-33 kite street $ 197,990 $ 49,729 $ 49,723 $ 98„544
oa-,34 151 & 152nd Ave$ 4 Fluorine St $ 357,831 $ 116,278 $ 146,273 S 95,276
Total $ 881,127 $ 318,958 $ 340,058 $ 217,Z7,3
The City is anticipated that sufficient funds will be available for only two of these three projects,
Should all tluee of these projects advaslce to the point of being eligible to be ordered by the Ciy
Council, project funding should be based upon the order in which the petitions were received.
