There are higher traffic volumes an 142"' Avenue east of Argon than west of TH47, The frontage road behind River/47 Plaza appears to play a significant role in the local traffic patterns, Traffic counts should be taken on this road, It may also be necessary to observe the movements to determine the origin and destination of this traffic. s Significantly less traffic is using 142'4 Avenue from the Rivers Bend neighborhood since 2000, The decline appears to have started even prior to the three quarters intersactlon modifications; but the intersection change has also had a significant impact in further lowering the intersection's use, • Traffic has substantially increased on Dysprosium Street since the installation of the signals at CR 116 and the improvement of that roadway, Traffic has increased 60 to 70% since 2003. Accidents: The Police department has prepared a summary of the accidents that have occurred since 2004 at or near the intersection of 142' Avenue and TH 47, The listing of accident reports is attached. There have been a total of 31 reportable accidents within this period; 21 accidents involved property damage only; eight accidents resulted in personal injury; and there have been two fatal accidents, Except for accidents 26 and 31 which -occurred on T14 47 but away from, the intersection, all others have occurred within the intersection of 14211d Avenue, There were no reportable accidents along Argon Street or 142" Avenue during this period, 1t should be noted that an accident must result .in property damage greater than $1000 or personal 1r jury to be reportable, .
