ORDINANCE #08-_ <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 9 WHICH IS KNOWN AS THE ZONING AND <br />SUBDIVISION OF LAND CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODEOF RAMSEY, <br />MINNESOTA. <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 9.11.08 (OFF-STREET PARKING) AND <br />9.11.09 (OFF-STREET PARKING SPACES REQUIRED) OF THE RAMSEY CITY <br />CODE. <br />The City of Ramsey ordains: <br />SECTION 1 AUTHORITY <br />This ordinance is adopted pursuant to and under the authority of the City Charter of the City of <br />Ramsey, <br />SECTION 2 REPEAL AND AMEND <br />Section 9.11,08 (Off -Street Parking) and Section 9,11.09 (Off -Street Parking Spaces Required) <br />of the Ramsey City Code are hereby repealed and replaced with the following text: <br />9.11.08 Residential Development Off -Street Parkins. <br />Subd. I General Provisions <br />a. In any Residential District, inside parking of licensed and/or unlicensed <br />motor vehicles and equipment, commercial or private, shall be permitted. <br />b. In any Residential District, no outside parking of any motor vehicle or <br />equipment shall be permitted, EXCEPT as follows: <br />1. Currently licensed and operable motor vehicles, the primary purpose of <br />which is for private transportation or recreational use may be parked in the <br />front yard if on a driveway or in the side or rear yard provided they axe <br />parked on a residential parking surface that consists of either bituminous <br />pavement or concrete, or outside the boundaries of the Metropolitan Urban <br />Service Area (MUSA) on a minimum of recycled concrete, bituminous or <br />prepared gravel. <br />2, Equipment, the primary purpose of which is for private or personal/ <br />recreational use, may be parked in the front yard if on a driveway or in the <br />—345— <br />
