Proposed Community Visioning Process <br />Comp Plan Update <br />Purpose <br />To work on amended land use map to serve as the basis for drafting a Comprehensive Plan <br />Update that will accommodate future population projections and densities. <br />Agenda <br />• 9:00-9:15 Arrive, coffee, rolls <br />• 9:15-10:15 Introduction, background info, Q/A <br />• 10:15-10:30 Set the day's agenda <br />• 10:30-11:30 Session 1, we suggest that small groups discuss overall city land use <br />concepts <br />• 11:30-12;00 Ist news session, report back <br />• 12:00-12:45 Lunch <br />• 12:45-1:45 Session 2, we suggest that small groups focus on areas or neighborhoods to <br />refine concepts <br />• 1:45-2;15 2nd news session, report back <br />• 2:15-3:15 Session 3, we suggest small groups take a preferred concept and refine it <br />further. <br />• 3:15-4:00 3rd news session, report back, finalize land use plan <br />• 4:00-4;30 Wrap-up, next steps <br />Introductory Session <br />• City Staff will kick off the meeting with intros and proposed process. Discuss future <br />opportunities for major amendment once this process is complete. <br />• Bonestroo will have an introductory Power Point summarizing the existing land use, <br />developable land area, and Met Council numbers, similar to the first part of the Aug. 12 <br />presentation, but without alternative scenarios. Brendon from Bonestroo will present that <br />show. A representative from Met Council will be available for questions. No proposed <br />land use scenarios will be presented. That is the task of the participants for the day. <br />• Once the intro is complete, with an idea of time line, requirements and expectations, and <br />consequences of missing the deadline, the question will be asked of the group, "does the <br />proposed process for the day work for the group to accomplish the task in the allotted <br />timeline?" <br />Neighborhood Breakout Sessions <br />• The following maps of the entire city at 11x17, 50+ copies for individuals, plus one large <br />42x66 plot of each for the room, of the following: <br />o Existing Land Use <br />o 2020 Land Use Plan, <br />o Aerial photo <br />_91- <br />
