Proposed Community Visioning Process Comp Plan Update Purpose To work on amended land use map to serve as the basis for drafting a Comprehensive Plan Update that will accommodate future population projections and densities. Agenda • 9:00-9:15 Arrive, coffee, rolls • 9:15-10:15 Introduction, background info, Q/A • 10:15-10:30 Set the day's agenda • 10:30-11:30 Session 1, we suggest that small groups discuss overall city land use concepts • 11:30-12;00 Ist news session, report back • 12:00-12:45 Lunch • 12:45-1:45 Session 2, we suggest that small groups focus on areas or neighborhoods to refine concepts • 1:45-2;15 2nd news session, report back • 2:15-3:15 Session 3, we suggest small groups take a preferred concept and refine it further. • 3:15-4:00 3rd news session, report back, finalize land use plan • 4:00-4;30 Wrap-up, next steps Introductory Session • City Staff will kick off the meeting with intros and proposed process. Discuss future opportunities for major amendment once this process is complete. • Bonestroo will have an introductory Power Point summarizing the existing land use, developable land area, and Met Council numbers, similar to the first part of the Aug. 12 presentation, but without alternative scenarios. Brendon from Bonestroo will present that show. A representative from Met Council will be available for questions. No proposed land use scenarios will be presented. That is the task of the participants for the day. • Once the intro is complete, with an idea of time line, requirements and expectations, and consequences of missing the deadline, the question will be asked of the group, "does the proposed process for the day work for the group to accomplish the task in the allotted timeline?"
