I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br />'1 <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> ! <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br />Councilmember <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #00-06- <br /> (PC-O0-O06) <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT #06 RELATING TO A <br />REQUEST FROM NORTH LAKE PROPERTIES INC., FOR A CONI)ITIONAL USE <br />PERMIT TO EXCEED SIGN SIZE AND HEIGHT RESTRICTIONS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey received an application from North Lake Properties <br />Inc.,(Wayne L. Johnson) for a conditional use permit to exceed the sign size and height <br />restrictions on the property legally described as follows: <br /> <br />Lot. 2, Block I, River/47 Plaza Addition, Anoka. County, Minnesota <br /> <br />("Subject Property") <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA that the findings of fact relating <br />to the request are determined to be as follows: <br /> <br />That on April 15, 2000, North Lake Properties Inc., (W.L. Johnson), hereinafter referred to as <br />"Applicant," properly applied for a conditional use permit to exceed the 100 square foot sign <br />size restriction by 150 square feet (210 iogo/40 reader board) and to exceed the 25 foot height <br />restrictions by 5 feet (30 feet in height). <br /> <br />That the Applicant appeared before the Ramsey Planning Commission for a public hearing <br />pursuant to Section 9.03.04 of the City Code on May 2, 2000, and that said public hearing <br />was properly advertised, and that the minutes of said public hearing are hereby incorporated <br />as a part of these findings by reference. <br /> <br />3. That the Subject Property is approximately 2.7 acres in size. <br /> <br />That the Subject Property and the parcels to the north and west are zoned B-1 Business; the <br />property on the east side of Hwy. #47 is zoned a PUD, and the property on the south side is <br />zoned B-2 Business. <br /> <br />5. That Section 9.12.08, Subd. 1, of the Ramsey City Code states that there shall not be more <br /> than one ground sign and it shall not exceed 100 square feet for each exposed face. <br /> <br />6. That Section 9.12.03, Subd. 3, of the Ramsey City Code states that ground signs shall not <br /> project higher than 25 feet. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />That the Applicant is proposing a multi-tenant commercial building to be named Ramsey <br />Towne Square that will be approximately 17,000 square feet and will have a minimum of 9 <br />tenants, one of which may be a franchise. <br /> <br />-219- <br /> <br /> <br />
