I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br />'1 <br /> <br />PC CASE <br /> <br />AUTHORIZE HIRING OF FULL TIME PUBLIC WORKS SECRETARY <br /> Rhonda Heryla, Human Resources Manager <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />On May 23, 2000 staff received authorization to begin the process to hire a full-time <br />Public Works Secretary. As required by the union contract, the position was posted <br />internally for seven business days. Tara Olson, Community Development Secretary, <br />submitted a letter of interest for the position. Based on an interview conducted by the <br />Director of Public Works and Human Resources Manager with Ms. Olson on June 7, <br />2000, staff is recommending Ms. Olson for the position of Public Works Secretary. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff is recommending that Council authorize hiring Tara Olson for the full-time Public <br />Works Secretary position contingent upon successful completion of a six month <br />probationary period.
