Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION # RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HIRING OF TARA OLSON TO FULL-TIME PUBLIC WORKS SECRETARY WHEREAS, on May 23, 2000 Council authorized staff to begin the process to hire a full-time Public Works Secretary; and WHEREAS, the position was posted internally and one letter of interest was received from Tara Olson; and WHEREAS, Ms. Olson was interviewed by the Director of Public Works and Human Resources Manager on June 7, 2000 and was recommended to the Personnel Committee to fill the full-time Public Works Secretary position. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to hire Tara Olson for the full-time Public Works Secretary position. 2) That Ms. Olson will be compensated at her existing annual rate of $25,701 with two weeks of vacation and be required to complete a six month probationary period. Ms. Olson has already undergone background and reference checks. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the I3th day of June 2000. -294- I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I
