ORDINANCE #08-27 CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 9 WHICH IS KNOWN AS THE ZONING AND SUBDIVISION OF LAND CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 9.11.08 (OFF-STREET PARKING) AND 9.11.09 (OFF-STREET PARKING SPACES REQUIRED) OF THE RAMSEY CITY CODE. The City of Ramsey ordains: SECTION 1 AUTHORITY This ordinance is adopted pursuant to and under the authority of the City Charter of the City of Ramsey. SECTION 2 REPEAL AND AMEND Section 9.11.08 (Off-Street Parking) and Section 9.11.09 (Off-Street Parking Spaces Required) of the Ramsey City Code are hereby repealed and replaced with the following text: 9.11.08 Residential Development Off-Street Parkin2:. Subd.1 General Provisions a. In any Residential District, inside parking of licensed and/or unlicensed motor vehicles and equipment, commercial or private, shall be permitted. b. In any Residential District, no outside parking of any motor vehicle or equipment shall be permitted, EXCEPT as follows: 1. Currently licensed and operable motor vehicles, the primary purpose of which is for private transportation or recreational use may be parked in the front yard if on a driveway or in the side or rear yard provided they are parked on a residential parking surface that consists of either bituminous pavement or concrete, or outside the boundaries of the Metropolitan Urban Service Area (MUSA) on a minimum of recycled concrete, bituminous or prepared gravel. 2. Equipment, the primary purpose of which is for private or personal! recreational use, may be parked in the front yard if on a driveway or in the side yard on a residential parking surface of either bituminous pavement or concrete, or outside the boundaries of the MUSA on a minimum of recycled concrete, bituminous, or prepared gravel, or in the rear yard.
