<br />City Attorney Goodrich stated that the Council could adjust it for multi-tenant facilities, but not <br />specifically for this property. He reviewed some of the findings of fact that he crafted for the <br />Council. <br /> <br />City Administrator Ulrich stated that the enforcement for a CUP is to revoke the CUP, which, in <br />this case, would be a difficult remedy because this is a sign that the City helped pay for. <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig stated that he thinks maybe staff should just make a strong. comment about <br />complying with the ordinances on the books already. <br /> <br />Councilmember Strommen agreed that the City should make sure that it is enforcing the existing <br />ordinances. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Miller stated that staff has not had time to do any <br />enforcement activities lately <br /> <br />Councilmember Look stated that he wants to make it clear that the Council is not making a <br />decision based on the $15,000 contributed by the EDA for the sign. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Jeffrey, seconded by Councilmember Strommen, to adopt Resolution <br />#08-10-211 adopting Findings of Fact # 0835 relating to A-I Custom Signs request for a <br />conditional use permit to exceed sign restrictions established in City Code. <br /> <br />Motion carried. V oting Yes: Councilmembers Jeffrey, Strommen, Dehen, Elvig, Look, and <br />Olson. Voting No: None. Absent: Mayor Gamec. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Jeffrey, seconded by Councilmember Olson, to approve Resolution <br />#08-10-212 and #08-1O-212B approving A-I Custom Signs request to exceed sign restrictions at <br />6401 Highway 10 NW and 6415 Highway 10 NW and declaring terms of same contingent upon <br />reducing the size of the proposed directional signs and entering into an encroachment agreement <br />with the City of Ramsey and Connexus Energy, and subject to a strong recommendation to the <br />property owner, per the minutes of the EDA meeting, where temporary signage was discussed, <br />and note that the City will take an active approach in enforcing all temporary signage. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Councilmembers Jeffrey, Olson, Dehen, Elvig, Look, and <br />Strommen. Voting No: None. Absent: Mayor Gamec. <br /> <br />Case #5: <br /> <br />Adopt Ordinance Amending Sections 7.61 (Charitable Gambling) of City <br />Code <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Nelson stated that this is the ordinance amending City Code <br />regarding charitable gambling which allows for an organization from Anoka with 50% or more <br />of participants that live in Ramsey to qualify to sell pull-tabs in Ramsey. <br /> <br />City Council October 28, 2008 <br />Page 13 of 20 <br />
