<br />Assistant City Administrator Nelson stated that the reduction Councilmember Dehen is referring <br />to is the next item on the agenda, so this applicant would be coming in under the current <br />licensing, but staff is proposing that this be done in the future. <br /> <br />Councilmember Dehen asked if this is something that all liquor applicants are advised about. <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Nelson reiterated that it is the next item on the agenda and reviewed <br />some of the education and electronic age verification requirements, but noted that, as of today, <br />this applicant would be under the current license regulations and when they come in next year, it <br />will be under new fee and new regulations that would apply. <br /> <br />Councilmember Dehen stated that he wanted the public to know about the age verification <br />system and what the City is doing to prevent alcohol from being sold to minors. <br /> <br />Sherri Blazevic, owner of Blaze Liquors stated that Assistant City Administrator Nelson has <br />informed them about the upcoming changes and incentive program. <br /> <br />Councilmember Look stated that there has been some pending litigation with the former owner <br />of this property and asked if the City knows ifthere has been any resolution in that matter. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated that there is a signed stipulation that is on file and the current <br />licensee has agreed to vacate the property and has reached a settlement. <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Jeffrey, seconded by Councilmember Olson, to close the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Councilmembers Jeffrey, Olson, Dehen, Elvig, Look, and <br />Strommen. Voting No: None. Absent: Mayor Gamec <br /> <br />The public hearing was closed at 7:10 p.m. <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Elvig called the regular City Council meeting back to order at 7:10 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Jeffrey, seconded by Councilmember Strommen, to approve an off- <br />sale intoxicating liquor license application for Steven L. Blazevic and Sherri A. Blazevic of <br />Blaco Companies, LLC d/b/a! Blaze Liquors. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Councilmembers Jeffrey, Strommen, Dehen, Elvig, Look, and <br />Olson.
