<br />Councilmember <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and" moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #08-11-~ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDING OF FACT #_ RELATING TO A REQUEST <br />FROM KARIANNE OLSON FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR A PRIVATE <br />DOG KENNEL TO MAINTAIN A MAXIMUM OF FOUR DOGS ON A PARCEL OF <br />PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED AT 6250"160TH LANE NW. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey received an application from Karianne Olson for a <br />conditional use permit to maintain no more than four (4) dogs on the property generally known as <br />6250 160th Lane NW, and legally described as follows: "" " " <br /> <br />Lots 4,4A,4B,5A BLK I Oakwood Hills, Together with Tract A Registered Land Survey <br />No: 193, Subject to Easement Of Record, of Anoka.County, Minnesota. <br /> <br />(the "Subject Property"). <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TlIIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA that the findings of fact relating <br />to the request are determined to be as follows: <br /> <br />1. That City Code Sectioi15.09~03,subd.2. allows no more than three (3) dogs per parcel as a <br />permitted use. Four (4) or more dogs requires the issuance 6fa conditional use permit <br /> <br />2. That on October 2,2008 Karianne Olson, hereinafter referred to as the "Applic~tll, properly <br />applied fora conditionaI use permit for a private dog kennel to maintain four or more" dogs on <br />the Subject Property. <br /> <br />3. That the Subject Property is zoned R-l Rural Developing. <br /> <br />4. That the adjacent properties are also zoned R-l Rural Developing. <br /> <br />5. That the Subject Property is ~PPI:oximately 2.72 acres in size. <br /> <br />6. That Section 5.09.03, subd.1. of the Ramsey CIty Code defines private dog kennels as any <br />place where four .or more dogs over six (6) months of age are kept on property occupied by <br />the dog owner for residential purposes and where the keeping of such dogs is incidental to the <br />occupancy of the premises, and may include breeding and selling dogs as a hobby. <br /> <br />7. That private keime1sfor four or more dogs are a conditional use per City Code Section <br />9.20.11, subd.3. <br /> <br />8. That the Applicant is proposing to maintain four (4) dogs, on the Subject Property. <br /> <br />9. That the Applicant has stated that the dogs residing on the Subject property consist of two <br />(2) Chihuahuas, one (1) American Bulldog, and one (1) Chocolate Labrador Retriever. <br /> <br />21 <br />
