<br />Motion by Councilmember Jeffrey, seconded by Councilmember Strommen, to continue the <br />Public Hearing until November 25,2008, and to authorize Police Chief Way to contract with the <br />Commissioner of Public Safety to perform a comprehensive background and financial <br />investigation for the proposed license for Leslie Pavlak and Timothy Worm d/b/a 01' Skool Bar <br />and Grill. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember Dehen asked what the areas of concern were found by <br />Police Chief Way. City Attorney Goodrich stated that he would prefer the investigation be <br />completed before this information is brought out, because it may not actually be an issue. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Jeffrey, Strommen, Dehen, Elvig, <br />and Olson. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Look. <br /> <br />Case #2: <br /> <br />Public Hearing: Improvement Project #08-31 Bituminous Paving of <br />Chameleon Street in the Shawn Acres Subdivision <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec closed the regular portion of the City Council meeting at 7:22 p.m. in order to <br />conduct a public hearing. <br /> <br />Public Hearin2 <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the public hearing to order at 7:22 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated that this project includes putting in a 28-foot wide bituminous <br />road with a rural ditch section. He stated that the details of the feasibility study have been <br />mailed to the property owners involved and staff met with property owners in September. He <br />stated that comments from that meeting were brought to the Public Works Meeting on September <br />16,2008. <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br /> <br />Colin McGlone, 15890 St. Andrews Lane NW, stated that he didn't see any information on what <br />tonnage the road will be. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated that it would be a 9-ton road. <br /> <br />Tom Penna, 17310 Chameleon Street NW, stated that he would like to make comments on the <br />fee scale. He stated that he and his wife have been residents of Ramsey for 25 years and came <br />looking for a rural environment. He stated that the street was dirt when they moved in. He <br />stated that there has never been access to his second lot. He stated that he is located on the <br />comer of 173rd and Chameleon Street and would like to contest the fee scale because he is being <br />charged for two lots, at about $7,500 each. He stated that his neighbor has access to 173rd and <br />could have access to Chameleon, if he wanted, but since he doesn't he is only getting charged <br />$3,500.
