CASE# I <br />PUBLIC HEARING: APPLICATION FOR ON-SALE, SUNDAY AND 2:00 A.M. <br />INTOXICATING LIQUOR LICENSE; CASE OF OVSKOOL BAR AND GRILL <br />By: Jo Thieling, City Clerk <br />Background: <br />Leslie Pavlak and Timothy Worm d/b/a 01' Skool Bar and Grill have properly applied for an on- <br />sale,, Sunday and 2:00 a.m. intoxicating liquor license at 7550 Highway #10 NW, Ramsey. This <br />is the current site of 01' Skool Bar and Grill. This is not a request for a new business; it is the <br />sale/transfer of a current business. Enclosed is a copy of the public hearing notice. <br />Police Chief Way has conducted a preliminary background and financial investigation and <br />requests that the City Council authorize him to contract with the Commissioner of Public Safety <br />for a complete background and financial investigation as permitted by City Code and State <br />Statutes. The applicant is required to pay for the investigation fee, which has been deposited. It <br />is anticipated staff will have the Commissioner of Public Safety's investigation results for <br />Council review at the public hearing continuation on November 25. <br />Staff and the applicants have agreed to continue the public hearing to 7 p.m.., Tuesday, <br />November 25, 2008 at the City Council's regularly scheduled meeting, <br />Council Action: <br />Motion to authorize Police Chief Way to contract with the Commissioner of Public Safety to <br />perform a comprehensive background and financial investigation for the proposed license for <br />Leslie Pavlak and Timothy Worm d/b/a 01' Skool Bar and Grill. <br />Reviewed by: <br />City Clerk <br />Police Chief <br />City Attorney <br />City Administrator <br />CC: 11/10/08 <br />—123— <br />
