<br />Commissioner Van Scoy expressed concern regarding Finding of Fact No. 17 and stated the <br />proposal has the potential to impact traffic depending on the final outcome of the applicant's <br />request. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Miller suggested the finding could be amended to state that <br />the final location of the signs will be approved by the City Engineer. . <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Van Stoy, seconded by Commissioner Hunt, to recommend that City <br />Council adopt Findings of Fact relating to A-I Custom Signs' request for a conditional use <br />permit to exceed sign restrictions established in City Code, with the following amendment: <br /> <br />Finding of Fact #17 shall be amended to state: "17. That the proposal will/'.Yill not may <br />adversely impact traffic in this area and is subiect to approval by the City Engineer." <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Van Scoy, Hunt, Brauer, <br />Cleveland, and Rogers. Voting No: None. Absent: Commis.sioner Levine. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner VanScoy, seconded by Commissioner Cleveland, to recommend that <br />City Council approve A-I Custom Signs' request to exceed sign restrictions at 6401 Highway 10 <br />NW and 6415 Highway 10 NW and declaring terms of same contingent upon reducing the size of <br />the proposed directional signs and entering into an encroachment agreement with the City of <br />Ramsey and Connexus Energy, and amending conditions #5 and #6 as follows: <br /> <br />5. The gross surface area of the two freestanding, directional ground signs shall not <br />exceed 16 square feet per face per sign. The height of these signs shull not exceed <br />seven feet nine inches. <br /> <br />6. The installation of the signs on the Subject Property shall require a sign permit <br />from the City of Ramsey (the "City"). The exact location, height. and <br />configuration of each sign is subject to approval by the City. Footings for each <br />sign must be sized by a licensed engineer. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. V oting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Van Scoy, Cleveland, Hunt, <br />Brauer, and Rogers. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Levine. <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt stated this item will be heard by the City Council on October 14,2008. <br /> <br />Case #3: <br /> <br />Request for Site Plan Review; Case of Tag Machine <br /> <br />Associate Planner Gladhill. explained that Sharp and Associates is proposing to construct an <br />11,000 square foot manufacturing and office facility for Tag Machine site at the intersection of <br />Azurite Street and Bunker Lake Boulevard in the Gateway North Industrial Park. He stated this <br />is a TIF project and the proposed site will have a building coverage of approximately 27%; City <br />Code permits building coverage up to 45%. He stated that given the unique configuration of the <br />lot, it appears that the applicant has maximized building coverage for the site.
