Wednesday, November 5, 2008
To: The City of Ramsey Planning Commission
Amber Miller
Community Development Director
Re: Nov. 6 Public Hearing for Karianne Olson
Three years ago my husband and I moved to the area. We were immediately dismayed
by loud, barking dogs in the middle of the night. This would start after 10 :30 pm and go
on past 1:00 am and later. We don't know that Karianne's dogs were the ones causing
the problem. The sound however, came from that location. This problem has continued
to exist and we have talked with neighbors who claim it existed before we moved in.
Lately we have not heard the dogs as much but are concerned if this permit is granted that
it will encourage the situation to continue. I am guessing the Police have been called on
many times to address the issue and should not have to waste their time on such matters.
The number of pets is not the issue to us. Pets need to be properly cared for and should
not be a disturbance to others.
Neither my husband nor I are able to attend the hearing tomorrow night. We thank you
for your notice on this matter and thank you for allowing us to voice our opinion in letter
form.
Sincerely;
4
Judy and Pat Corrigan
15953 Nowthen Blvd
Ramsey, Mn
