Tc: ,
Steve Jankowski
d between Mallard Ponds and Fiintwaod HUIs
SubJect; Private roa
Steven,
I am writing to you to express my complete. disagreement with opening this private and small road,
I am on an EXTREMELY fixed income as a senior citizen struggling to keep my home, continue with my
...prescription meds, doctors visits,. heat, electricity, and. food. to feed myself. With my home comes the road out
front of it that I need to pay to maintain, fix or repair, if it is needed.
Now, opening this to the public, with additional traffic. driving oven this road, wnlamepwhich I cannot affo d! ! or
fix it. Not to the expense of the public, but to the expense of my senior citizen ,
.r ,
°```~esides the maintenance, repair, and fixing of this road; also comes to issue of how narrow .this road is. I have 2
children that come to visit, with limited parking, it is neccesary to park on the. street. This does notleave.any
room for traffic to be passing through at speeds that would not be slaw, as the traffic would just be passing
through the neighborhood and not going to a home in tl~e circle. This doesn't even include the snow, when
rivate aom an sometimes not getting to the road until later in the
winter arrives. These street are plowed by a p p Y>
day. With additional traffic driving the roads Iirior to getting them plowed would also make for very slippery
conditions, I as a senior citizen also need to walk across this road to get my mail, ~ wed ~ ht away asethe~0 adds
up to someone getting hurt, me! A parked car an the street, the street not getmg p g
company I have hired to plow is also an a budget asad has many accou nts, but the public cars drive aver the
snow, compacting it to the street, making it now slippery, I attempt to cross the st~oet ~~ home ai d cannot stoplp
and fall, or get lZat bythe car that has a driver that does not live here goingta fast $
because of the slippery roads, and I-get hit,. getting my mail, vn my private road, that. I need. to pay for.
I could go on and on, and gave you many examples of why a private road being paid for by many senior
citizen's on a VERY fixed income in this economy shnul.d not be opened to the public: I will stop here for now,
~:+~ , ut understand this, I am EXTREMELY opposed to making my PRIVATE road, a public road, at 1VIY
..expense.
'T'hankyou,
Maria Schultz
5347-14gth Ct.
