City Engineer Jankowski answered that it is needed as pm't of the zoning code to <br />allow City residents to purchase flood insurance. The Federal Government is remodeling the <br />ordinance and asking that the City update its existing flood plain ordinance by September 1, 1991. <br />Upon inquiry, Mr. Jankowski answered that this does not affect the flood map. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Peterson, Cich, Beyer and <br />Hardin.
