Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Cich to name Alan Pearson <br />as the citizen representative on the Fire Board. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Peterson, Cich, Beyer and <br />Hardin. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #11: Report from Negotiating Committee and Personnel Committee <br /> <br />Personnel Coordinator McAloney stated that the Negotiating Committee had met with the <br />AFSCME bargaining unit representatives and had reached a tentative agreement. The AFSCME <br />contract will be voted on March 4, 1991. The Negotiation Committee also met with LELS <br />bargaining unit representatives and have also reached a tentative agreement. The LELS contract <br />will be voted on in early March also. <br /> <br />Councilmember Peterson stated that he would like to publicly thank Personnel Coordinator Kay <br />McAloney for all her help and the two bargaining units for their professional and fair offers and <br />their willingness to negotiate. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to approve the <br />tentative agreements between the AFSCME and LELS bargaining units and the City of Ramsey for <br />the one year 1991 contract. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Councilmember Peterson stated that in the contract between the AFSCME unit <br />and the City, the City has stated that the pay structures will be reviewed. Councilmember Hardin <br />added that after the review, the findings will be brought to Council with a plan for implementation. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Peterson, Beyer, Cich and <br />Hardin. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cich stated that the Personnel Committee met for a brief meeting prior to tonight's <br />City Council meeting and recommended hiring Karen Buntje for the Data Entry position.and to <br />retain Tim Dwyer as Police Officer as he has satisfactorily completed his one year probationary <br />period. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cich and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to offer the Data Entry <br />position to Karen Buntje in Salary Grade 1, effective 2/28/91. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Cich, Beyer, Hardin and <br />Peterson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cich and seconded by Mayor Gilbertson to retain Tim Dwyer as Police <br />Officer as he has satisfactorily completed his one year probationary period. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Cich, Beyer, Hardin and <br />Peterson.
