Councilmember Beyer stated that the City would have to consider cutting back other services, such <br /> as Police and Public Works to make money available for sealcoating projects. <br /> <br /> Paul Bach, 16801 Radium Street N.W., Ramsey - asked if it would be feasible to assess all <br /> homeowners in the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Peterson stated that in a way, the City is doing that by paying 50% of the cost of <br /> street maintenance projects. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Peterson stated that if the City is allowed to raise the levy limit, this type of <br /> maintenance could be provided for in the general fund. <br /> <br /> Gail Beckenbach, 15427 Argon Street N.W., Ramsey - asked if the certain amount of people <br /> being assessed were located only where the road is. <br /> <br /> Mr. Jankowski replied that only people who have frontage onto the street are assessed; only the <br /> benefitted properties can be assessed. <br /> <br /> Mr. Ploeger expressed his disgust with the assessment. <br /> <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br /> Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Hardin to adjourn the public <br /> hearing. <br /> <br /> Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Peterson, Hardin, Beyer and <br /> Cich.
