Sharon Wagner, 6802 - 137th Avenue N.W., Ramsey (34-32-25-42-0004) stated that in the last <br />two years she's had three break-ins and her neighborhood has lost the nice quiet neighborhood <br />feeling. <br /> <br />Brad Jensen, 6711 - 137th Avenue N.W., Ramsey (34-32-25-13-0016 and 34-32-25-13-0021) <br />explained that he is the closest resident to the book store. He doesn't have the same sense of <br />security his neighborhood used to offer and he is afraid for his children to go bicycle tiding alone <br />in the area. <br /> <br />Gene Chancellor, 6746 - 137th Avenue N.W., Ramsey (34-32-25-42-0005) stated that with the <br />bowling alley and now the adult book store, their neighborhood has become a playground for four- <br />wheeling vehicles and increased litter. <br /> <br />Jack Chesin, 6720 - 138th Avenue N.W., Ramsey (08-31-24-34-0218 . . .(see PIN~s listed on <br />previous page) stated he is the owner of the bowling alley which is a family recreation center and <br />he is concerned about the book store. He stated the book store has advertised that they are next to <br />the Super Bowl and he has received calls from people wondering if he is affiliated with the book <br />store. He feels his establishment is family oriented and that the book store is bringing crime in to <br />the area. He also has had a couple of break-ins and some vandalism in his parking lot. <br /> <br />Terry Goodwin, 13720 Ebony Street N.W., Ramsey (34-32-25-13-0010) stated she has three <br />daughters and feels they are no longer safe riding their bikes in the area. She stated her oldest <br />daughter was followed by a gentleman and now feels that her children are very limited as to where <br />they can go. She also commented on all the littering. <br /> <br />Steve Blakemore, 13659 Dolomite Street N.W., Ramsey (34-32-25-42-0003) stated he is the <br />second closest property to the book store. He has noticed an increase in traffic and an increase in <br />litter. He can see the facility from his kitchen window and liked it much better when it was a pizza <br />place and teen center. <br /> <br />Jim Anderson, Assistant Manager for Northern Gas stated they are across the street from the book <br />store and they have noticed an increase in vandalism and litter. He stated that one of the gases they <br />store is nitrous oxide which could be very dangerous in the wrong hands. He stated they try to <br />keep a clean and respectable business and the litter and "grubbiness" from the book store is hurting <br />everyone. <br /> <br />Renee Devern, 6801 - 137th Avenue N.W., Ramsey (34-32-25-13-0008) - stated she has two <br />small children and that she is home with them during the day. She has noticed a tremendous <br />increase in traffic and litter. She stated it is impossible to let her children out to play by <br />themselves. <br /> <br />Ed Hamilton, 6615 - Highway #10 N.W, Ramsey (34-32-25-12-0001) stated his commercial <br />property value jumped 8.23%. The value on commercial property per square foot is 35¢ and he's <br />at 46¢ per square foot. He stated he's been in Ramsey since 1941 and he can't see why he has a <br />higher value on his property than the property on either side of him. <br /> <br />Mr. Keefe explained that the value per square foot on smaller lots tends to have higher values per <br />square foot based on vacant land sales. <br /> <br />George McMullen, Lot 2, Block 2, Riverside West, Ramsey (34-32-25-13-0003) stated he is <br />having a problem getting financing for a building due to his location close to the book store. The <br />valuation, according to the last appraisal, has dropped 50%.
