A City ad hoc committee
was formed to review possible approaches to the Metropolitan Council. Of the options available,
the Committee is recommending Option 3, which is an exchange of industrial land for residential
land. Residential land generates fewer trips than commercial or industrial uses and probable
residential development is farther east and would therefore reduce impacts on T.H.#10.

Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to direct Staff to
proceed with Option #3 in pursuit of the Phase li 205 acre MUSA expansion and that the owners
of the industrial land be contacted for their response.

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Peterson, Beyer, Cich and
Hardin. Voting No: None.

Case #2: Request to Vacate Outlot B, Countryside Estates

Motion by Councilmember Cich and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to adopt Resolution
#91-06-150 introducing an ordinance permitting the vacation of the North 320 feet of Outlot B,
Countryside Estates.

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Hardin, Cich, Beyer and
Peterson. Ms. Swanson has been active with RYAA for three years and
initiated the petition that expedited development of the new soccer field and two new softball fields
at Central Park.

Ms. Swanson was present and accepted congratulations from Mayor, Council and City Staff.

Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Cich to adopt Resolution
g91-06-151 recognizing Beverly Swanson as City of Ramsey Volunteer of the Year.

City Council/June 25, 1991
