JOINT CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF ANOKA <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council and the Anoka City Council conducted a joint meeting on Wednesday, <br />September 4, 1991 at Greenhaven Country Club Restaurant in Anoka. <br /> <br />Members Present <br /> <br />Councilmember Sheila Beyer, City of Ramsey <br />Councilmember Richard Cich, City of Ramsey <br />Councilmember Glen Hardin, City of Ramsey <br />Councilmember Kenneth Peterson, City of Ramsey <br />Mayor Peter Beberg, City of Anoka <br />Councilmember Gerald Cotten, City of Anoka <br />Councilmember Buster LaTuff, City of Anoka <br />Councilmember John Mann, City of Anoka <br />Councilmember John Weaver, City of Anoka <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Ryan Schroeder, City of Ramsey <br />Finance Officer Sandra Ashley Helling, City of Ramsey <br />City Engineer Steven Jankowski, City of Ramsey <br />Police Chief Michael Auspos, City of Ramsey <br />City Manager Mark Nagel, City of Anoka <br />Public Works Director Ray Schultz, City of Anoka <br />Community Development Director Robert Kirchner, City of Anoka <br />Police Chief Andy Revering, City of Anoka <br /> <br />Members Absent: Mayor James Gilbertson, City of Ramsey <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Councilmember Kenneth Peterson, in the absence of Mayor Gilbertson, called the meeting to order <br />at 5:10 p.m. <br /> <br />Councilmember Peterson introduced the Council and Staff members present from the City of <br />Ramsey and Mayor Beberg introduced the Council and Staff members present from the City of <br />Anoka. <br /> <br />Councilmember Peterson stated that in 1989 the joint Council's met and discussed several issues <br />and suggested getting together periodically; however, a meeting had not been scheduled until now. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />The consensus was to approve the agenda items; however, Case #4 should be discussed prior to <br />Case #3. <br /> <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Transportation Issues <br /> <br />Ramsey City Administrator Schroeder stated that Anoka City Manager Nagel requested the City of <br />Ramsey to review Highway #47 as the speed into Anoka is faster than it should be. He stated that <br />a copy of the resolution which the Ramsey City Council passed requesting the State to study the <br /> <br />Joint City Conncil/Ramsey/Anoka - September 4, 1991 <br /> Page 2 of 10 <br /> <br /> <br />
