ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY BOARD
CITY OF RAMSEY
ANOKA COUNTY
STATE OF MINNESOTA
On Monday, November 3, 2008, the Environmental Policy Board (EPB) was scheduled to meet
in the Mississippi River Conference Room at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood
Drive N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. HOWEVER, DUE TO A LACK OF A QUORUM, THE
MEETING WAS NEVER CALLED TO ORDER. FOLLOWING IS A BRIEF SUMMARY OF
DISCUSSION:
Members Present: Board Member Michael Max
Board Member Bob Bentz
Board Member John Freeburg
Members Absent: Chairperson Joe McDilda
Boardmember Thomas Stodola
Board Member Bob Sibilski
Also Present: Environmental Coordinator Chris Anderson
Informal meeting discussion
Environmental Coordinator Anderson summarized that he believed the intent for the survey in
response to the Lower Rum River Organization was for the Board to form a response as a group.
He thought that this could be completed through email and advised that the survey invitation
should arrive soon via email. He advised that when the Board Members are responding to the
email they should click on reply all, so that all Board Members would be able to view the
thoughts of the other members. He advised that when compiling the response from the Board he
would use the average of the answers submitted.
Board Member Max agreed that it would be fair to use an average of the responses received from
the Board.
Board Member Bentz questioned if the results of the survey would be posted online and
accessible to the public.
Environmental Coordinator Anderson thought that some form of the results would be posted for
the public via the Lower Rum River website.
Board Member Bentz reported that people had asked him why the results of surveys done in the
City are not always released to the public.
Environmental Coordinator Anderson explained that while the surveys are being completed
within the City, they are not always conducted by the City and therefore the City does not have
control over whether or not the results are released to the general public.
Board Member Max questioned if the Old City Hall was still functional enough to serve as a
polling place.
Environmental Policy Board / November 3, 2008
Page 1 of 3
