Case #5: Information Dissemination to Commissions

City Administrator Schroeder stated that the Planning and Zoning Commission had previously
requested that there be an increased effort to disseminate information to them regarding public
improvement projects. He stated that the Planning and Zoning Commission should have
information made available to them, he is also asking for additional discussion of this issue by the
Council.

Councilmember Peterson stated he too feels the lines of communication should be kept open and
that it would be nice to be able to meet quarterly of semi-annually with the Commissions.

Case #6: Adopt Ordinance Amending Non-conforming Use Section of the
Zoning Code Regulating Adult Uses

City Attorney Goodrich stated that when the ordinance amending the Non-conforming Use Section
of the Zoning Code Regulating Adult Uses was published, a phrase was inadvertently omitted
from it. The proposed amendment would re-insert the phrase. He stated that this ordinance
amendment would require a 4/5 vote; therefore Council would not be able to vote on the ordinance
at this meeting. He added that Council could, however, recess this meeting and reconvene at a
later date.

RECESS

Motion by Councilmember Hardin and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to recess the regular
City Council meeting and reconvene for Thursday, November 14, 1991 at 5:30 p.m. to vote to
adopt the ordinance amending the non-conforming use section of the Zoning Code regulating adult
uses.

Motion carried.
