Her shop would be <br />closed Mondays, Thursdays Sundays, Wednesday mornings, and Saturday afternoons. <br />Ms. Frolik reported that Ms. Juliano has stated that her business would operate on an <br />appointment only basis and scheduled so as to avoid the need for anyon-street parking. <br />A public hearing was conducted by the Planning Commission and four written statements <br />of support were received; one letter of opposition was received. One person was present <br />at the hearing who expressed no opposition to the permit being issued if the applicant can <br />provide enough off-street parking for salon clients. Ms. Frolik added that the City has <br />approved such permits in the past. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman and seconded by Councilmember Haas Steffen <br />to adopt Resolution #98-11-285 adopting Findings of Fact #0481 relating to a request <br />from Renee Juliano for a home occupation permit at 5163 - l46th Circle NW. <br /> <br />Motion carried. V oting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Zimmerman, Haas <br />Steffen, Beahen and Beyer. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to <br />Adopt Resolution #98-11-286 approving the issuance of a home occupation permit based <br />on Findings of Fact #0481 and declaring terms of permit for a hair salon in the single <br />family residential district. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Zimmerman, Beyer, <br />Beahen and Haas Steffen. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #7: <br /> <br />Amendment to Contract for Comprehensive Planning Services <br /> <br />Community Development Director Sherman stated that the City has been working since <br />August 1997, with Hoisington Koegler Group Inc. (HKGi) to develop a comprehensive <br />plan consistent with the State Land Planning Act. The contract for the services included <br />two meetings with the Planning Commission and City Council. With the meeting held on <br />November 17 and the meeting scheduled for December 9, 1998, and any future meetings, <br />except the scheduled public hearing, we have exceeded our contract. This issue has been <br />discussed with HKGi and they are requesting an amendment to the contract at a fee not to <br />exceed $500 per meeting. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Haas Steffen and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to <br />approve the amendment to the contract with HKGi for a fee not to exceed $500 per <br />meeting for additional meetings necessary to complete the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
