These additional meetings accounted for 25.5 hours beyond the contract. Review with Planning Commission (Task 1.07) Review meetings with the Planning and Zoning Commission were to require eight hours according to the contract. However, these meetings actually exceeded the allotted time by 30 hours. ' Because the additional effort was not the fault of BRW, Inc., and because the City staff and/or appointed or elected officials essentially required us to attend the meetings and revise the draft plans as described above, we feel that it is fair and warranted that we be compensated for our time. Therefore, we respectfully request that the City sign the enclosed Contract Addendum agreeing to compensate BRW up to an additional $3,960. We hope and expect that the new "not-to-exceed" amount of $19,680 will be adequate to cover all the requested services without further requests for contract addenda. We will continue to work efficiently and seek to complete all the remaining tasks as early as reasonably possible.
