<br />Public Notice <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />Registering to Vote on <br />Election Day <br /> <br />If you have not pre-registered to vote as of October <br />14,2008. you CaIl still register on Election Day at your <br />polling place. Voters registering on Election Day must <br />provide proof of residence. Following are the authorized <br />forms for proof of residence: <br />A valid Minnesota driver's license or learner's permit <br />(or receipt for either) showing correct/current address <br />in the precinct. An expired driver's license is NOT <br />considered a valid ID. <br />Tribal ID. <br />A valid Minnesota identification card (or receipt) <br />showing correct/current address in precinct. An ex- <br />pired ID card is NOT considered a valid ID. <br />U.S. passpOli with utility bill. <br />U.S. military photo ID card with utility bill. <br />If the Minnesota license, Tribal ID or MN State ID has <br />a fonner address, voters may bring a current utility <br />bill (due within 30 days of the election) in the voter's <br />name showing the current address in the precinct, <br />along with a photo ID. The utility bill must be one of <br />the following: gas, electric, telephone, cable TV cell <br />phone, water or sewer services. or rent statement with <br />itemized utilities. Photo ID must be one of the follow- <br />ing: MN Driver's license, MN ID card, US passpOli, <br />US military photo ID, Tribal ID or MN student photo <br />ID. <br />A Notice of Late Registration showing the address <br />of the voter in the precinct. The voter receives this no- <br />tice from Anoka County if they registered fewer than <br />21 days prior to the election. The voter may present <br />this notice to the election judges as a valid proof of <br />residence. <br />A current student fee statement that contains the <br />student's valid address in the precinct aIld a picture <br />identification card. Note: There are no such campuses <br />in Anoka County. <br />Voters may also register the day of the election if a <br />registered voter in the precinct vouches as a witness <br />for you. An oath/voucher card must be signed by <br />the person vouching for the voter and by ail election <br />judge. <br />Registered voters who move within the Saine precinct <br />can simply complete a new voter registration card.
