<br />City Attorney Goodrich stated that the City Administrator Ulrich had told Mr. Holasek that there <br />would be a response by December 23,2008. He stated that he has talked to his attorney and Jodi <br />RueWe, a consultant because there are many issues that need to be addressed before a <br />recommendation can be made. <br /> <br />Mr. Holasek stated that for years they paid triple the tax capacity rate of the City portion. He <br />asked now that they are not paying taxes, how the City is raising that portion of the taxes. <br /> <br />Finance Officer Lund stated that it would be divided among the remaining parcels that are still <br />out there. She stated that she thinks the City has acquired three of the original 17 properties in <br />the area. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec suggested that he come in and talk with Finance Officer Lund if he has additional <br />questions, because she can go over the specifics with him. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec noted that there were several young people here for a government class from <br />school. He asked them to introduce themselves and their school. He encouraged them to <br />contact City staff if they have any questions or need more information. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Strommen, seconded by Councilmember Elvig, to approve the <br />agenda, as submitted. <br /> <br />Motion carried. V oting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Strommen, Elvig, Dehen, Look, <br />and Olson. Voting No: None.
