<br />ORDINANCE # 09- <br /> <br />,i 1~'. <br /> <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE REPEALING <br />SECTION 2.03.06, SUBDIVISION 3, PUBLIC SAFETY BOARD <br /> <br />An ordinance to amend Chapter 2 of the City Code titled "Council, Board and <br />Commissions" . <br /> <br />SECTION 1. Amendments <br /> <br />References to the Public Safety Board are repealed. <br /> <br />Section 2.03, Boards and Commissions <br /> <br />Section 2.03.06 Duties, Responsibilities and Objectives <br /> <br />Section 2.03.06, Subdivision 3, Public Safety Board <br /> <br />"Public Safety Board" is hereby repealed. <br /> <br />Public Safety Board. The primary objective of the Public Safety Board is to reviev.; <br />administrative and/or operational matters relative to public safety and to advise the City <br />Council of policy matters relevant to tho public safety functions in Rumsey. The duties <br />of the P'~lblic Safety Board shall be to: <br /> <br />a. Provide administrative advice to the Fire Chief and Police Chiei~ <br />promote cOlmnunication ',vithin the Fire Department and the Police <br />Department and between the two departments and other cOlmnunity <br />leaders. <br /> <br />b. /\dvise the City Council in the selection of the Fire Chief and Police <br />Ghief.. <br /> <br />c. Revievl operations of the Fire Department and Police Department <br />and advise the Fire Chief and Police Chief in detem1ining possible <br />areas of improvements. <br /> <br />d. Re';ie'vV and advise regarding rules and regulations for the Fire <br />Department and Police Department. <br /> <br />-22- <br />
