Hwy 47/167th Commercial Node: Letters have gone out to all of the interested parties
updating them as to the status of the Buxton Study.

Business Expo:. The Ramsey Business EXPO will be held at the Pact Charter School on April
25th from 9AM -2PM. There have been approximately 10 businesses that have already expressed
interest in attending. Stay tuned for more updates.

Sunfish Lake Boulevard Road Proiect: BNSF has approached Anoka County about starting
signal work on the Sunfish Lake Boulevard railroad crossing in February. BNSF has indicated it
could be a two week closing which would include at least 3 days for thawing the ground under
the existing traffic lanes. This delay would be eliminated if the work were performed after the
ground has thawed. Anoka County, as the lead agency, will be holding a conference call next
Wednesday with BNSF to discuss project options. The Anoka County and City of Ramsey
position is that all work should be coordinated after the frost is out of the ground. There is curb
work and permanent lane marking which have to be installed after the railroad completes their
work and before the crossing can be opened to traffic. This is best accomplished in the spring.
Staff will provide updates as they become available.

Andersonand DaWen Expansion: Anderson and Dahlen have put their plans for expansion on
hold. Citing poor economic conditions, they feel that an expansion at this time is not prudent.
They will continue to update the City as to their status and still plan on adding space when the
market warrants action.

Future Meeting Topics:

1. Housing Quality / Economic Development Study'
2. MPCA Timeline / Site acquisition
3. Joint meeting / work session with City Council

38
