City Administrator Norman indicated Facilitator Larry Bakka is scheduled to meet with the
Council at the April 18, 2006 Council work session.
Assistant City Administrator Nelson indicated the next work session agenda will include a
discussion of the Horse Care Board. The Board has not met since February of 2002. It appears
to staff the main purpose of the Board has outgrown itself and the Board may not be needed to
continue. The terms of all of the commissioners expired in October of 2004. A letter will be
sent to the commissioners to inform them that a discussion will take place. Any situations
previously dealt with by the Board are now dealt with by the Planning Commission in relation to
a use on the property.
City Administrator Norman reported the $4.5 million CMAQ grant has made it through the last
hurdle of the Transportation Advisory Board (TAB), and will soon go before the Metropolitan
Council for final approval. The City of Anoka has responded favorably to the idea of a joint
celebration of their funding.
Councilmember Elvig suggested individuals from the County, especially Commissioner Berg,
and individuals from the Metropolitan Council, be invited to the celebration.
ADJOURNMENT
The Work Session of the City Council was adjourned at 8:55 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
es E.
