I was recently informed that my name, my wife's name and my'daughters
name showed up on a petition that is being passed around the neighborhood by a disgruntled
citizen. I am not sure that this is true However, I just want to be very clear....neither I, my
wife, nor my daughter (who lives in Duluth) have ever signed this petition. This particular
citizen has approached my home twice and on each occasion was asked to leave. I find it
particularly frustrating that my name has been (in any way) associated with this individual. My
position on the road closure issue has been made very clear, and as an FYI I have attached
this e -mail to a previous letter that was sent to David Jeffery, the Mayor and the rest of the City
Council.
Paul Miller, Sr. Project Manager
Department of Public Works, Property Services
350 S. 5 St., Room 223
Minneapolis, MN 55415
(612) 673 -3603
(612) 210 -1765 cell
From: Miller, Paul D.
Sent: Friday, January 16, 2009 8:02 AM
To: 'djeffrey@ci.ramsey.mn.us'
Subject: Support for Closure of 142nd
David,
16
I was hoping you could share this with the Mayor and other Council Members...it
appears that not everyone has an e -mail address posted on the City Website.
I live at 14138 Argon St. in Ramsey, I am an employee of the City of Minneapolis, in the
Public Works Depai intent and my background is in Civil Engineering. I want to express my
"strong" support for the proposed closure of 142 Ave. N.W. just east of Argon St.
Unfortunately, I was unable to attend the recent City Council meeting (1/13/09), but I have
been able to see the video. During the meeting Mr. Randy Backous spoke very well to the
traffic issue and has been one of the neighbors that have worked hard for a very long time to
find a solution to this serious traffic problem, I support his position 100 %. However, I am very
1
