Conclusion
I entered this process because I thought we were doing something good for the
neighborhood; the whole neighborhood not just myself. Why would we not want to live
on a quiet, safe street? Why would we not be willing to drive 2 minutes out of our way
to make our streets safer and our neighborhood a nicer place to live?
The barricades that will be put up are only a test. Let's stay open - minded and see if we
like it or not before we storm city hall and undo something that took 3 years to
accomplish.
I am not trying to make decisions for our neighborhood. I would never represent that I
am speaking for the neighborhood. After we have some experience with the new
configuration, please call the Mayor and everyone on the City Council and tell them
what YOU think and what YOU want. Better yet, put your opinion in writing and mail it
so the city has a written record of it.
Don't let me, Mr. Greb or anyone else speak for you because the more of us that
participate, the better the decision will be. If the majority does not want 142 Avenue
closed, I would disagree with it but I would be satisfied with the outcome. If you want to
reduce cut - through traffic, and it will only get worse, you had better get involved. now.
Thanks for your time,
Randy Backous, 14148 Argon St' NW, 763 -421 -8261
Give it some time and then voice your opinion!
Bob Ramsey, Mayor
763 - 286 -0171 (cell)
mayorramsey@cl.ramsey.mn.us
Matt Look
612- 558 -9111 (cell)
mlookCdci. ramsev. m n. us
Jeff Wise
763 -576 -4361 (vm)
At Large
David W.
