Council Members: <br /> Youth First Community of Promise presently occupies the East side of the building located <br /> at 6701 Hwy 10 NW. We are very appreciative of your donation of this space for our offices <br />Youth First ~ <br />community ofPromjse ( <br />and our neighborhood youth programs. <br />NEIGHBORHOOD CENTERS <br /> We would like to request permission to also utilize the West side of the building. There are <br />Andover <br />13733 Crosstown Drive ~ <br />some programmatic benefits to us being able to expand. <br />Andover, MN 55304 <br /> • Utilization of kitchen space. <br />Anoka <br />2931 VerndaleAve#31 j <br />o Preparation and service of snacks and lunches. <br />Anoka, MN 55303 ~ o Provide health and nutrition programs for our youth and families (a kitchen is <br />Ramsev ~ required). <br />6701 Hwy 10 NW i o The tiled floor is an ideal location for our messy projects and will preserve our <br />Ramsey, MN 55303 ~ carpets. <br /> • Separation of homework and recreation spaces: <br />~ o We have applied for grants for health and fitness equipment as well as <br />~ additional recreational equipment. Additional space dedicated for one activity <br /> at a time would be beneficial and less distracting. <br />Our mission is to ensure youth in <br />Andover, Anoka and Ramsey I <br />receive55PECIFICPROMISES ~ • Expansion of evening programs. <br /> o Due to multiple programs operating in the evening (ESL classes, family club, and <br />1. On-going relationships with <br />caring adults ~ our new Boy Scout troop), scheduling is becoming more of a challenge. Having <br />2. We would only need to heat or cool the space during <br />Youth First Community of Promise is a local community initiative established out of a working group of the Northwest Anoka County Community Consortium (NWACCC). <br />This collaborative entity includes the cities of Andover, Anoka, Ramsey, Anoka County and Anoka-Hennepin School District 11. <br />
