Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: ~ ~~ <br />RESOLUTION #XX-XX-XXX <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ANOKA COUNTY COOPERATIVE FIRE PROTECTION AGREEMENT WITH THE <br />MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES. <br />WHEREAS, the communities of Anoka County recognize the need for an agreement for reimbursement of <br />costs of fire apparatus and personnel when resources are requested by the DNR; and <br />WHEREAS, the purpose of this Cooperative Fire Agreement is to cooperate in the prevention and <br />suppression of wildland fires as authorized under Minn. Stat. § 88.04; and <br />WHEREAS, Minn. Stat. § 438.08 provides that a city may by resolution authorize it's fire department, or a <br />portion thereof, to attend and serve at fires or emergencies outside the limits of the municipality;. and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF <br />MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the City Council of Ramsey authorize the Anoka County Cooperative Fire Protection Agreement <br />with the Minnesota DNR. <br />2) That the Fire Chief is hereby authorized to execute the Cooperative Fire Protection Agreement. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the City Council the day of <br />2009 <br />Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />City Clerk <br />-76- <br />
