ROAD AND BRIDGE COMMITTEE
CITY OF RAMSEY
ANOKA COUNTY
STATE OF MINNESOTA

The Ramsey Road and Bridge Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday,
December 12, 1995, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW,
Ramsey, Minnesota.

Members Present:

Councilmember Carolyn Beahen
Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman

Also Present:

City Administrator Ryan Schroeder
City Engineer Steve Jankowski

CALL TO ORDER

Councilmember Zimmerman called the regular meeting of the Road and Bridge
Committee to order at ~:32 p.m.

COMMITTEE BUSINESS

Case #1:

Proposed Changes to County State Aid Highway System

City Engineer Jankowski explained that the City has been requested by the County
Engineer to adopt a resolution which would change or modify the County State Aid
System. We would proposed to un:designate C.S.A.H. #27 on the northern boundary of
the City and add C.R. #116 from the border ofT.H. #47 all the way to Sunfish Lake and
down to T.H. #10 and all ofC.R. #83 through the City. The net change would result in an
additional 6.5 miles for the City of Ramsey. Mr. Jankowski pointed out that the County
practice does not differentiate between county roads and county state aid roads in setting
priorities, standards or financing contributed from local municipalities. The County feels
the changes will result in an increase in the amount of allocation received from the State
each year. Also, the two County roads within the City added to the system, C.R. #116
and C.R. #83, run adjacent to areas of the City which are expected to develop within the
near future.

Motion by Councilmember Beahen and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to
recommend Council adopt the resolution supporting the proposed changes to the County
State Aid Highway System.

Motion carried. V oting Yes: Councilmembers Beahen and Zimmerman. Voting No:
None. Absent: None.

Case #2:

Change Order for Improvement Project #95-18

City Engineer Jankowski reported that there was a minor change to Improvement Project
#95-18, the extension of water and sewer to ~ver Plaza/47 Addition.
