Attachment: B <br />ORDINANCE #09- <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 9 WHICH IS KNOWN AS THE RAMSEY ZONING <br />CHAPTER. <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 9, SECTION 9.02 TITLED "DEFINITIONS" <br />OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA <br />The City of Ramsey ordains: <br />SECTION 1. AUTHORITY <br />This ordinance is adopted pursuant to and under the authority of the City Charter of the City of <br />Ramsey. <br />SECTION 2. AMENDMENT <br />Portions of section 9.02 of the City Code are amended to read as follows: <br />Garage, Primary Residential — A garage attached to the principal building or dwelling, or a <br />detached garage where an attached garage does not exist, intended for the storage of vehicles and <br />items accessory to the principal use of the property. Primary residential garages, attached or <br />detached, shall be considered accessory structures. <br />Home Occupation — Any business or commercial activity that is conducted or petitioned to be <br />conducted from the principal or an accessory structure on the property that is zoned for <br />residential use, by persons residing on the property. <br />SECTION 3. SUMMARY <br />The following is the official summary of Ordinance #_ -08 which has been approved by the City <br />Council of the City of Ramsey as clearly informing the public of the intent and effect of the <br />Ordinance. <br />The definition of Primary Residential Garage and Home Occupation are being amended to be <br />consistent with the City Code Section 9.11.04 (Home Occupations). <br />SECTION 4. EFFECTIVE DATE <br />The effective date of this Ordinance is thirty (30) days after its passage and publication, subject <br />to City Charter Section 5.07. <br />Ordinance #09 -_ <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />—234— <br />
