BUDGET COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey Budget Committee conducted a meeting on Tuesday, June 25, 1991 at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota 55303. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Councilmember Kenneth Peterson <br />Councilmember Sheila Beyer <br />Councilmember Glen Hardin <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Ryan Schroeder <br />Finance Officer Sandra Ashley Helling <br />Personnel Coordinator Kay McAloney <br />Public Works Supervisor Merle Mevissen <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Councilmember Peterson called the meeting to order at 5:37 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Mrs. Helling asked to add the following: <br /> <br />Case #3: <br /> <br />A Discussion Regarding the DNR Tree Planting Program <br /> <br />The agenda was approved as amended. <br /> <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />The following item was presented for approval on the Consent Agenda: <br /> <br />1) Receive copy of Chapter No. 337 (H.F. No. 303) of the Waste Management Act <br /> <br />Discussion: Mrs. Helling added that the only new information presented in this report (H.F. No. <br />303) was Subd. 2 (Construction Debris). The Budget Committee asked Mrs. Helling to determine <br />if this would be applicable to the City of Ramsey and to advise the estimated remaining capacity in <br />the landfill. <br /> <br />The Consent Agenda was approved as presented. <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case gl: Community Education Program Proposals <br /> <br />City Administrator Schroeder stated the current 1991 cost to the City of Ramsey for Community <br />Education is $39,714. He explained there are various avenues the City could pursue to lessen that <br />cost. <br /> <br />Mrs. Helling commented that when Mr. Kerr of Community Education was discussing the Buy-up <br />Options, he mentioned that some specific things are not part of the basic plan such as <br />environmental programs, trailblazers, etc. <br /> <br />Budget Committee/June 25, 1991 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
