<br />Project Proposal 5 <br /> <br />PROJECT FUNDING <br /> <br />Initial fundraising efforts have begun and will continue until the ultimate completion of this <br /> <br />project. Privately donated funds will serve as the primary funding stream for this project. <br /> <br />Additional fundraising efforts will be sought from civic organizations, such as Rotary and Lions <br /> <br />Clubs from neighboring cities. Although sufficient private funds have been received to cover the <br /> <br />cost of this project, these allocated funds will serve as reserve should shortfall occur in the <br /> <br />ongoing donation efforts. <br /> <br />PROJECT TIMELINE <br /> <br />Following is a proposed timeline of this project; naturally, in a project of this magnitude, many <br /> <br />variables could present themselves allowing the timeline to alter even the best laid plans. Project <br /> <br />status updates would be provided to the City throughout the installation of the site, if requested. <br /> <br />February/March 2009 <br /> <br />- Tuesday 2/24 - Council work session review <br />- Continue to fmalize project specifications upon Council approval <br /> <br />April 2009 <br /> <br />- Break ground as weather and contracting services permit <br /> <br />May/June 2009 <br /> <br />- Continued site work <br /> <br />July 2009 <br /> <br />- Sunday 7/26 - Site dedication ceremony to commemorate one-year anniversary of Luke's <br />passmg <br /> <br />Ongoing-Fall/Winter 2009; Spring 2010 <br /> <br />- Phases may be required for project completion into late 2009/early 2010; dependent upon <br />donation efforts due to economic downturn and contracting services/labor necessary <br />
